Team Stamp It Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Team Stamp It blog hop.  I am so excited to participate in this month’s blog hop.  This is my very first one.

I am a religious person so when I learned that our theme was Easter I knew I had to make my card reflect what Easter means to me.  I only own one Easter stamp set and it is the Easter Lamb set.  I don’t have any stamp set’s with a cross in them.  I had to get creative on how I was going to make a cross and the crown of thorns.

I used the Hardwood Background stamp set to stamp the cross on whisper white card stock. I used the gold foil paper for the crown.  I used the Flower Fair framelits die set for the crown.  I didn’t have a circle punch so I used the Party Punch ballon to make the crown.  I sniped the bottom of the ballon off and then used adhesive to attach it to the cross.  After I stamped the inside I used my Wink of Stella pen to the sentiment and leaf.

I will be posting a video on my Youtube channel so make sure you check it out.

Beautiful card. I never would have guessed the crown was made using a balloon punch and I love the extra sparkle the wink of stella pen gives the sentiment & leaves.

  2. not entering the giveaway here since this is my second trip through the Hop to bookmark the blogs and to test the "commenting ID" —
gotta say (again) love the lamb. 🙂 And the strips of woodgrained stamped CS to make the cross is a nice touch.

nice card. the little lamb is adorable. sentiment stamp is a very good one too — thanks for showing the inside of the card — too often the inside gets left blank when a card front is highlighted …

  4. I love that you were able to make a true Easter card without the stamps!!! I too am a religious person and we only celebrate Jesus on Easter. Thank you for sharing this with the whole Internet world. #stampitcontest

  5. Thanks Paula. I didn't know in the beginning how I was going to make a card. I didn't have a cross in any of my stamp sets. I saw my hardwood stamp set and the light bulb went off! Thanks for stopping by and God bless!

  6. Thanks so much Patricia. It took me awhile to come up with it but I loved the way it turned out. I wanted to make sure I had something representing the hands and feet so that is why I chose to put the little jewel embellishments at those three points.

  7. Couldn't do a Easter card without the reason for the Easter card lol. That is my favorite part about crafting. When you have to think outside the box and let your creativity take over. Thanks so much for your kind words. Thank God he has risen!
